Director, Seattle Baroque Flute Summer Workshop
Currently Janet coaches ensembles and teaches privately in her Seattle studio. She formed and directs 'Flutes-en-Bois', a unique and thriving 10-member Baroque flute ensemble who perform thoughout the Seattle area. In addition to teaching early flutes and baroque interpretation, Janet often presents classes on the positive effects of the F.M. Alexander Technique when applied to playing the flute. The principles of this Technique - how they can be used to achieve more ease, consistency, and flexibility in playing - are a strong thread running through both her teaching and her playing.
For more information on private lessons, master classes, or the Alexander Technique, please contact Janet.
