For over 35 years Janet has given private instruction on baroque and modern flute.  She is frequently invited to give master classes in the U.S.A. and Canada and has taught summer courses presented by:

The San Francisco Early Music Society
Early Music Vancouver
Indiana University
Amherst Early Music
International Baroque Institute at Longy School of Music
Boxwood Wooden Flute Festival
Western Baroque Music Festival (formerly Albuquerque Baroque Festival)
Director, Seattle Baroque Flute Summer Workshop

Currently Janet coaches ensembles and teaches privately in her Seattle studio. She formed and directs 'Flutes-en-Bois', a unique and thriving 10-member Baroque flute ensemble who perform thoughout the Seattle area. In addition to teaching early flutes and baroque interpretation, Janet often presents classes on the positive effects of the F.M. Alexander Technique when applied to playing the flute. The principles of this Technique - how they can be used to achieve more ease, consistency, and flexibility in playing - are a strong thread running through both her teaching and her playing.

For more information on private lessons, master classes, or the Alexander Technique, please contact Janet.
